Deducted at the sale, not forgotten
The advance paid to a customer comes off what you owe them when the goods move. Ceiling per customer, alert as the due date approaches.
Who bought what, on whose budget
Each buying station has its budget and its balance. You see which one spends, which one delivers, which one drifts.
Charged to the lot, not the heap
Transport, handling, sacking: costs attach to the lots they belong to. Cost price is the lot's, not an average.
The mill pays on terms, and you know it
Mill sales on cash or on terms, with their due dates and payments. What's due in, and when.
You correct, you don't erase
Before validation, you edit. After, you post a reversing entry. The audit log keeps everything: who, what, when.
